Leigh has also been a model and artist for many years, giving her an edge in her ability to coach her couples in front of the camera.

When Leigh is not photographing weddings, she likes to play tennis, garden, and spends time at the beach in her hometown, Wilmington, NC. She also often goes up to the mountains where she has a family cabin. In December of 2025, Leigh and her husband Pete eloped there! She has an giant Irish Wolfhound named after the Loch Ness monster, Nessie.
