No one feels immediately comfortable in front of the camera. Don’t worry, we’ll ease into things. Many moons ago, I used to be a model before choosing to be behind the camera. I picked up some tips back then that seem to help others who might feel awkward. I try not to encourage “posing” too much.
When choosing a session location, pick something that feels most like you. Hiking a mountain and enjoying beers at the top? An early morning at the beach? Taking a dip in a waterfall? Relaxing at home? Picnicking in a field? Hanging at a local coffee shop? I am here to capture your relationship. My style captures movement and connection. I’m happy to gently guide you and crack terrible jokes with you.

Heck yes! I would love to add your hometown or dream destination to my travel bucket list.

Travel fees are added to weddings that require over 2 hours of driving to and from the location plus overnight stays. For wedding collections being held anywhere in the U.S. outside of North Carolina, a flat fee of $1000 is added.
If you want your wedding somewhere extra awesome, I will pay for any expenses that exceed that flat travel fee.

Dress for comfort and for the landscape. Don’t expect to hike a mountain in heels (but definitely bring them for when we get to the top!) I also have a pop-up changing tent if we are adding multiple outfits so don’t worry! Neutral colors photograph best, and flowy fabrics tend to work better than form-fitting attire (depending on the setting and the vibe). Think about complimenting outfits, not matching with your partner. Feel free to text me pictures if you’re having trouble deciding between outfits!

Yes, of course! Not only with the timeline planning (if your coordinator has not already), but also for who you trust with the other puzzle pieces of your wedding.
I am here for you and will help you figure out a timeline that feels right. A few things to consider: where you’re getting ready, first look, travel time, ceremony length, your group photo needs, and golden hour.
For local weddings, I have a list of recommended vendors.

absolutely not

It depends. I give all the beautiful moments throughout the session or wedding, culling away the repeats, eyes closed, mid talking or unusable images. An hour session is usually 40-100 and a wedding can range from 350 - 850 depending on the hours covered.

On the rare occasion, I do! But my pricing reflects my education, years of experience, and what my work deserves.

Things happen! And I will work with you as much as I can to figure out a new date! If I am already booked that day, I have trusted associates that can shoot your wedding day, then I gather the images and edit them myself as usual. The only difference you might notice is that you won’t have a dance-off with a wild photo-taking redhead with a mouthful of cake.
If for any reason there is a cancellation, the non-refundable 50% deposit is still non-refundable. If you paid in full, 50% will be refunded to you if the cancellation is made before 90 days leading up to the date.
